Verse 1
Jai Hanumant sant hitkaari, sun leejai Prabhu araj hamaari |
Jan ke kaaj bilamb na keejai, aatur dauri mahaa sukh deejai ||
Victory to Hanuman, benefactor of the saintly. The devotee asks him to hear this appeal, come without delay, and bring relief.
Verse 2
Jaise koodi sindhu mahipaara, Surasaa badan paithi bistaara |
Aage jaay Lankini rokaa, maarehu laat gayi surlokaa ||
The hymn recalls the ocean leap and entry into Surasa’s expanded mouth. In this source’s telling, Hanuman kicks Lankini when she blocks his way and she goes to the celestial realm. This wording has not been harmonized with other Ramayana accounts.
Verse 3
Jaay Bibheeshan ko sukh deenhaa, Seeta nirakhi parampad leenhaa |
Baag ujaari sindhu mahan boraa, ati aatur jamkaatar toraa ||
The hymn says Hanuman comforts Vibhishana and, after beholding Sita, reaches paramapada—the highest attainment. He then ravages the garden and casts it into the sea before swiftly breaking jamkatar, Yama's blade, in the poem's fierce imagery.
Verse 4
Akshay Kumar maari sanhaara, loom lapeti Lank ko jaaraa |
Laah samaan Lank jari gayi, jai jai dhuni surpur nabh bhayi ||
The verse recalls the defeat of Akshaya Kumara and the burning of Lanka with Hanuman's flaming tail, pictured poetically as drawing cries of victory in heaven.
Verse 5
Ab bilamb kehi kaaran Swaami, kripa karahu ur antaryaami |
Jai jai Lakhan praan ke daataa, aatur hvai dukh karahu nipaata ||
The devotee asks the indwelling Lord why there should be delay and appeals to the one who restored Lakshmana's life to end the present distress quickly.
Verse 6
Jai Hanumaan jayati bal-saagar, sur-samooh-samarath bhat-naagar |
Om hanu hanu hanu Hanumant hatheele, bairihi maaru bajra kee keele ||
Hanuman is praised as an ocean of strength and a mighty warrior. In the hymn’s fierce language of appeal, the devotee asks him to strike the enemy with a thunderbolt-like spike.
Verse 7
Om hneen hneen hneen Hanumant Kapeesa, Om hum hum hum hanu ari ur seesaa |
Jai Anjani Kumar balvantaa, Shankarsuvan beer Hanumantaa ||
The incantatory appeal calls on the lord of the vanaras to strike the enemy’s heart and head. It then praises mighty Hanuman, Anjani’s son and traditionally called Shankara’s son.
Verse 8
Badan karaal kaal-kul-ghaalak, Raam sahaay sada pratipaalak |
Bhoot, pret, pisaach nisaachar, agin betaal kaal maari mar ||
Hanuman is praised as fierce-faced, destroyer of death's host, Rama's helper, and constant protector. The next line lists frightening beings and dangers: ghosts, spirits, demons, night-roamers, fire, a vetala, death, disease, and mortality. In the following couplet, the devotee asks Hanuman to destroy them.
Verse 9
Inhen maaru, tohi sapath Raam kee, raakhu Naath marjaad naam kee |
Satya hohu Hari sapath paai kai, Raam doot dharu maaru dhaai kai ||
Invoking Rama’s oath, the devotee asks Hanuman to destroy those frightening forces and uphold the honour of his name. Rama’s messenger is urged to hurry, seize and strike.
Verse 10
Jai jai jai Hanumant agaadha, dukh paavat jan kehi aparaadha |
Pooja jap tap nem achaara, nahin jaanat kachhu daas tumhaara ||
Praising Hanuman's immeasurable greatness, the devotee wonders what fault has brought suffering and admits not knowing the disciplines of worship, recitation, austerity, or observance.
Verse 11
Ban upban mag giri grih maaheen, tumhare bal haun darpat naaheen |
Janaksutaa Hari daas kahaavau, taakee sapath bilamb na laavau ||
Trusting Hanuman's strength, the devotee says there is no fear in forest, grove, path, mountain, or home. The selected source's compressed line then invokes Janaka's daughter Sita, calls Hanuman a servant of Hari—Rama—and urges him by that oath not to delay.
Verse 12
Jai jai jai dhuni hot akaasaa, sumirat hoy dusah dukh naasaa |
Charan pakari, kar jori manaavaun, yahi ausar ab kehi goharaavaun ||
Amid an imagined cry of victory across the sky, the hymn says remembrance removes unbearable sorrow. With folded hands at Hanuman's feet, the devotee asks whom else to call now.
Verse 13
Uthu, uthu, chalu, tohi Raam duhaai, paayan paraun, kar jori manaai |
Om cham cham cham cham chapal chalantaa, Om hanu hanu hanu hanu Hanumantaa ||
Invoking Rama, the devotee urges Hanuman to rise and come quickly, bows at his feet, and calls his swift-moving form through incantatory sounds.
Verse 14
Apne jan ko turat ubaarau, sumirat hoy aanand hamaarau ||
The incantatory cry pictures hostile forces fleeing in fear. The devotee asks Hanuman to rescue his own people at once and says that remembering him brings joy.
Verse 15
Yah Bajrang-Baan jehi maarai, taahi kahau phiri kavan ubaarai |
Paath karai Bajrang-Baan kee, Hanumat raksha karai praan kee ||
The hymn asks who could rescue someone struck by this Bajrang arrow. It then expresses the devotional belief that Hanuman protects the life of the person reciting it.
Verse 16
Yah Bajrang Baan jo jaapain, taason bhoot-pret sab kaapain |
Dhoop dey jo japai hamesaa, taake tan nahin rahai kalesaa ||
The final couplet traditionally says frightening forces tremble at this recitation and that regular practice with incense keeps bodily distress away. This is a statement of faith, not a medical claim.
