पूजा-स्थान का वास्तु (Vastu for the Home Shrine)
The classical source most often cited for the home shrine, Varahamihira's Brihat Samhita (53.118), places the room for the Devas in the north-east. Most other direction rules you will read are contemporary Vastu guidance or family custom. These guides show which is which, and what to do when your home cannot follow the ideal. Devotion does not become invalid because of a direction.
