मंगलमूरति मारुतनंदन। सकल-अमंगल-मूल-निकंदन॥
maṃgalamūrati mārutanaṃdana | sakala-amaṃgala-mūla-nikaṃdana ||
English meaning: The son of the Wind is the very form of auspiciousness; he uproots every misfortune at its root.
हिंदी अर्थ: पवनपुत्र हनुमान मंगल की मूर्ति हैं और सारे अमंगलों को जड़ से उखाड़ देने वाले हैं।
Roman Hindi meaning: Pavanputra Hanuman mangal ki moorti hain aur saare amangalon ko jad se ukhaad dene wale hain.
पवनतनय संतन-हितकारी। हृदय बिराजत अवधबिहारी॥
pavanatanaya saṃtana-hitakārī | hṛdaya birājata avadhabihārī ||
English meaning: The son of the Wind is the benefactor of the saints, and in his heart Rama, who delights in Avadh, is enthroned.
हिंदी अर्थ: पवन के पुत्र संतों का हित करने वाले हैं, और उनके हृदय में अवध में विहार करने वाले श्रीराम विराजते हैं।
Roman Hindi meaning: Pavan ke putra santon ka hit karne wale hain, aur unke hriday mein Avadh mein vihaar karne wale Shri Ram viraajte hain.
मातुपिता गुरु गनपति सारद। सिवा समेत संभु सुक नारद॥

carana baṃdi binavauṃ saba kāhū | dehu rāmapada-neha-nibāhū ||
English meaning: Bowing at the feet of every one of them, I make this plea to all: grant that my love for Rama’s feet lasts to the end.
हिंदी अर्थ: मैं इन सबके चरणों की वंदना करके सबसे विनती करता हूँ: मुझे श्रीराम के चरणों का ऐसा प्रेम दीजिए जो सदा निभ जाए।
Roman Hindi meaning: Main in sabke charnon ki vandana karke sabse vinti karta hoon: mujhe Shri Ram ke charnon ka aisa prem dijiye jo sada nibh jaaye.
बंदौं राम लषन बैदेही। जे तुलसी के परम सनेही॥
baṃdauṃ rāma laṣana baidehī | je tulasī ke parama sanehī ||
English meaning: I bow to Rama, Lakshmana and Vaidehi, who are Tulsi’s dearest.

Mangal Murati Maruti Nandan is pad 36 of Goswami Tulsidas’s Vinaya Patrika: five couplets in Braj that begin by praising Hanuman as the embodiment of auspiciousness and then bow to parents, guru, Ganesha, Sharada, Shiva and Parvati, Shuka and Narada, asking all of them for lasting love for Rama. This page gives the pad in the spelling of the 1923 Tulsi-Granthavali, with every word checked against a 1926 printing.
Pad 36 of Vinaya Patrika, in raga Gauri, opens with two couplets to Hanuman, son of the Wind, in whose heart Rama lives. Its last three couplets widen into a general salutation: Tulsidas bows to everyone worthy of reverence and asks them to keep his love for Rama’s feet steady, ending with a bow to Rama, Lakshmana and Sita.
The opening words मंगलमूरति मारुतनंदन give the pad its popular name, and it is widely sung as a Hanuman bhajan. The pad itself is a vandana that reaches beyond Hanuman, which is why this page keeps all five couplets together rather than only the Hanuman lines.
The spelling follows the 1923 Kashi Nagari Pracharini Sabha printing, and every word is checked against the 1926 Naval Kishore Press printing. In the last couplet the 1923 print is worn: its जे is read as the letter-forms and rhyme require, and the 1926 print reads जो there with the same meaning.
